             Canon speedlite 580ex ii I was really pleased to find this package. Your local camera shop is great and all but this would have cost a fortune at the camera shop I normally go to (I went in and did a price check on everything before ordering online).

I won’t be attaching the paperboard bounce that came in the package because I already own a Sto-Fen omni-bounce (from my old 580ex, RIP). I would suggest that anyone who is ordering this package order the omni-bounce as well.

Edit: While I was shooting a wedding the flash stopped working right as I was about to take a picture of the groom adjusting the bride’s father’s tie. Canon speedlite 580ex ii The camera locked up (ETTL changed to TTL and the flash wouldn’t go off) and I missed the picture. flash worked again later but continued to lock up the camera at critical moments. When I got home I searched for the cause of the problem and found most people pointing their finger at the cord. If you go to the page where the included cord is being sold, you’ll find a number of reviews complaining of the same problem. The speedlite does not fit onto the cord properly (has to be forced into the locking position) and even when tightened, the other end will slip off the hotshoe if you happen to bump it with your forehead. This is still a great package, but Cameta really needs to include a cord that works with the Canon speedlite 580ex ii better.

           Canon Speedlite 580EX II This is a great flash and a must-have for any professional photographer. I shoot weddings and prefer to use natural light but when fill flash it needed this is the flash I turn to first (and I have 3 others). It’s a great flash, especially when bounced.

The kit does leave a bit to be desired. I thought I would use the diffuser more, but it tends to fall off if I move too quickly.Black Canon Speedlite 580EX II I prefer using Lithium batteries but was looking forward to the batteries and chargers for other AA needs (like my Wiimotes). I was disappointed in the lifespan of the batteries and they only really lasted 5-6 charges. I do, however, love the battery case and recommend that as an easy way to organize your batteries.

So all in all this was a good kit considering it wasn’t too much more than buying the flash alone and I have used everything in it.

I wasn’t sure if I could afford this model, but decided to make the sacrifice. All for a great price you get a top of the line external flash the batteries and charger, battery case and the diffuser. Canon Speedlite 580EX II You can’t go wrong and you would not regret this purchase after you see your photos.

            Canon speedlite 580ex ii I own a Canon 20D (Waiting for the 5D Mark II If it ever comes out). My main walk around lens is the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens as well as the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Lens. I previously owned the Canon Speedlite 430 EX. I recently purchased the 580 EX II.

The Canon speedlite 580ex ii is very powerful so I recommend a diffuser. Your pictures can come out looking very harsh if you’re not careful. Bounce flash will only take you that far. With a diffuser you’ll get rid of the raccoon eye effect and with the overall distribution of light your shots will be greatly improved as well. Get the Lightsphere II or the Whale Tail, you won’t be sorry you did.

This Flash has a lot of flexibility when it comes to rotating the flash head compared to my 430 EX. With the right diffuser I can make vertical shots that look very close to studio quality. This comes in handy when you cannot carry around $4000 worth of studio lighting equipment. The flash is strong enough to put out that much light.
Another feature I like is the fact that I can still use my 430 EX with the Canon speedlite 580ex ii . I slave the 430 EX and get even more power wirelessly.Black Friday 580ex ii It works great and it’s very much in sync.
My final thoughts:
If you have the 430 EX go and rent the Canon speedlite 580ex ii and check out the difference. Also and I can’t stress this enough GET A DIFFUSER!!!

Black Friday Canon speedlite 430ex ii First of all, this is an amazing product. I really never imagined I had so many uses for an external flash until I bought one. On a recent trip to Europe, I used it constantly; but mostly during the day for a fill flash. When you’re photographing people in the afternoon sun, they usually have harsh shadows on their faces. This little bad boy will cast just the right amount of flash to their face and it’ll look natural.

Now here is why you must purchase this from Amazon. On this same trip to Europe, my 430EX suffered a fall from six feet onto a very unforgiving concrete surface. The small clip that holds it onto your camera must have failed. I know s–t happens, but it was a major setback for me. Canon speedlite 430ex ii Anyways, when I got back home to the states, I chatted with a representative online from Amazon and they approved me to send my defective and highly damaged item back for an exchange. I thought I would have to wait until the broken item made its way to their return center, get processed, Canon speedlite 430ex ii and then wait for the replacement (refurb) to come to my house. Boy was I wrong! Not only did they send me a brand new item, but they overnighted it to my house!
